About the Authors

Jack Butts

Jack Butts is a first-year MAPC student from Crawfordville, Georgia. He recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in English, specializing in rhetoric and composition. Following graduation, Jack served as a Publishing Data Intern at the University of Georgia Press, where he distributed eBooks and added new features to the Press website. By studying in the MAPC program and working in the MATRF, Jack hopes to enhance his multimedia production skills and explore the intersection between college composition and technology. In his spare time, Jack enjoys photography, Roger Federer, and Parks and Recreation.

Kellie Osborne

Kellie Osborne is a first-year MAPC student from Charleston, SC. She earned her BA from the Honors College at College of Charleston, where she majored in communication with a concentration in media studies and a minor in Spanish. After graduation, she worked in corporate customer service for Verizon Wireless before moving on to greener (and more relevant) pastures at an Amazon-owned independent publishing company called CreateSpace. At CreateSpace, Kellie worked with editorial and marketing services and was granted daily opportunities to argue in favor of using the Oxford comma and hyphenation in phrasal adjectives appearing before nouns. And she liked it. When she wasn't annoying authors and editors with quoted passages from the Chicago Manual of Style, she worked on jacket copy, press releases, and book review services. In her spare time, Kellie likes to embrace her inner cat lady, write limericks and other micro poems, and paint.

Danielle Shuff

Danielle Shuff, a native of Wheelersburg, Ohio, is a first-year MAPC student. She graduated from Ohio Northern University (ONU) with a B.A. in Professional Writing and a minor in Public Health. While at ONU, Danielle served as the Public Affairs Director for the university radio station, the Editor-in-Chief of the English Department Newsletter, and the Marketing Director for the department's digital journal publication. She also designed websites for local businesses and tutored ESL students at ONU. As an undergraduate, she gained extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video-editing software. She loves the beach, road trips, and her Pomeranian named Thor.
